वनशा रोज गायी-गुरांना चारायला जंगलात घेऊन जातो. सगळ्या गायी त्याचे ऐकतात. पण एक वासरू खूप हट्टी आहे. घरी जाण्याची वेळ झाली तरी ते हट्टाने गवत खात राहते. वनशा त्याला समजावण्याचा प्रयत्न करतो, पण ते मुळीच ऐकत नाही. तो रडायला लागतो. मग वेगवेगळे प्राणी येतात आणि हट्टी वासराला समजावतात. वासरू कोणाचे ऐकते? ते घरी जाते का? ही एक पारंपरिक गोष्ट आहे. गोष्टीत काही वाक्ये वारंवार आल्यामुळे मुलांना पुढे येणाऱ्या वाक्यांचा अंदाज करता येतो आणि ही गोष्ट ऐकायला खूप आवडते.

Every day, Vansha takes the cattle to the jungle for grazing. Around sunset, he gathers the cattle and brings them home. One day, a stubborn calf decides to continue grazing even after sunset. Vansha tries to convince the calf to come home, but the calf doesn't listen. Vansha starts crying. Many other animals come there and tell the calf to return home. Does the calf listen to them? This is a traditional story from rural Maharashtra. The dialogues are repetitive, which gives the story a flow and makes it interesting for young children.
